Hi there. I’m Jamie, a freelance illustrator, artist and gardener based in Sheffield, UK. My work focuses on ecological illustration, telling stories about climate, conservation and nature connection through close observation and tactile image-making.

Specialising in textured monoprinting and collage, I create work exploring the wonders of rockpools, meandering streams and overlooked flora. I illustrate editorial articles about the environment, produce brand assets for nature-based organisations and communicate ecological stories for different audiences.

Outside of the studio, I am an experienced educator and researcher. I have over 10 years experience teaching illustration in Higher Education, have led drawing and printmaking workshops for large organisations and have presented my research into illustrating ecologically at both national and international conferences.

Available for commissions

I collaborate with publishers, charities and brands on a range of projects, including:

  • Editorial illustration for magazines and journals

  • Book cover design (fiction and non-fiction)

  • Illustrated non-fiction publishing

  • Impact reports and environmental storytelling

Please get in touch if you have a project you’d like to work together on.
